Commentary

In 2 Chronicles 32, we read about King Hezekiah of Judah and his faithfulness to God. Hezekiah was a righteous king who followed the Lord and sought to lead his people in the ways of the Lord. Hezekiah was faced with a great challenge when the Assyrian king Sennacherib invaded Judah and threatened to take Jerusalem. Hezekiah was not deterred by the threat and instead trusted in the Lord for deliverance. Hezekiah prayed to the Lord and the Lord answered his prayer by sending an angel to destroy the Assyrian army. This miraculous victory was a testament to Hezekiah's faith and trust in the Lord. Hezekiah's faithfulness to God was rewarded with a long and prosperous reign. Hezekiah's example of faithfulness and trust in the Lord is an example for us all to follow. We can learn from Hezekiah's example that when we trust in the Lord, He will provide for us and protect us.
